On April, we posted about Children Mending Hearts and asked you to vote for them on GOOD Maker. A couple of months have passed and CMH will be reaching over 1,500 students in the next six months with over twenty classes at various locations in the Los Angeles area and exchange partners abroad.
SUMMER 2013 PROGRAM
This summer, CMH is providing supplemental curricula to summer programs in under-served communities in Los Angeles. CMH Global Arts Summer Session will again lead a summer camp version of our Global Arts After School semester program at the Watts/Willowbrook Boys & Girls Club.
This session began on June 17th and runs through August 24th, 2013. Multiple class levels meet twice a week to explore photography, fine arts, and fun global learning to hundreds of boys and girls ranging from ages 8-18 years old.
Also this summer, CMH Global Arts Summer Session will participate in Camp CoachArt 2013. We will be partnering with CoachArt to provide a global learning photography workshop as a fun activity in their week-long summer camp, July 22nd through 26th, 2013. CoachArt provides lessons in arts and athletics for children with chronic and life-threatening illnesses.
You can support the organization to stock all the new classrooms with the supplies needed (digital camera, pencils, laptop computers, scissors, paper, glue sticks…) on CMH Amazon Supply Drive!
