We already dedicated several news to Half the Sky, in February and then in March. We think Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn are doing an amazing, inspiring job.
They take a break from filming in Cartagena, Colombia, to encourage you and your friends to join the Half the Sky Movement and help women and girls around the world by playing Half The Sky Movement: The Game on Facebook. Help us get to a million players! Just by playing, you’ll unlock funds that will go to life-transforming surgeries and books.
About the game: Together with award-winning developer Frima Studio and social media experts, Games for Change is creating a cutting edge, online social experience that turns gameplay into real-world activism. The goal is to draw millions of Facebook players globally and to transform their digital quest of having to keep women and girls safe into real-world actions and micro-donations, building the capacity of the Half the Sky Movement’s nongovernmental organization (NGO) network and partners. The game is set to launch following the television broadcast, during the 2012 holiday season.
