President Omar al-Bashir of Sudan, who is indicted by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for crimes against humanity and genocide in Darfur, is planning to travel to next week’s United Nations General Assembly in New York. President Obama and his administration must take action.
If Bashir attends next week’s opening session at the UN, it will be his first visit since the ICC issued arrest warrants against him in 2009 and 2010.
