Last month we announced you the All Sudan Demo organized by Waging Peace on June 30, 2018 in London (read our news here). The organization wanted to mark 29 years since President Omar al-Bashir assumed office after a military coup.
Many people rallied Waging Peace #SudanPoorGovernance demo, as over 400 people joined them as they marched, peacefully, onto Downing Street to call out Prime Minister Theresa May on the situation in Sudan.
Radio Dabanga published an article about this demonstration, explaining that the protest was held in light of the “strategic dialogue” which has opened up between the UK and the Sudanese government. Protesters claimed that there have been no tangible changes to the daily lives of Sudanese people since the dialogue opened up. Read full article here.
