This week-end and for two days, we followed the Sudan Emergency Action Summit 2013 sponsored by Act for Sudan, at George Mason University, and we listened to speakers, watched the sessions and panels.
About the Summit:
‘The Sudan Emergency Action Summit is organized by Act for Sudan. Act for Sudan is an alliance of 75 organizations that represent American citizen activists and Sudanese U.S. residents who advocate for an end to genocide and mass atrocities in Sudan. Act for Sudan is dedicated to advocacy that is directly informed by the situation on the ground and by Sudanese people who urgently seek protection, justice, and peace.’
Some of you joined us and Max Dana, and we discussed together, looking for a way to keep raising awareness on the ongoing, ever lasting and horrific situation in Darfur and in other places in Sudan.

Khartoum plays the 'deny, divert, delay' card. 'That's unacceptable' says Rich Williamson. Question is, how we 'deal' with it? #SudanSummit

'The US has a big toolbox (…) The question is: is the President of the US willing to use it?' says Rich Williamson. Indeed. #SudanSummit

We have to keep raising awareness and bring attention to the conflict in Darfur. You can do so by signing the petition on darfur10.org. The MagkaSama Project supports this petition and it has been added to our List of Campaigns and Petitions to Support.
